My name is Christopher Noack - welcome to my blog! This blog
is written in response to Tim Ferris' Slow Carb Diet. I am using it to track my
own personal success while I embark on this challenging experience, as well as
sharing some valuable tools, tips, and information on how other people can also
follow in my footsteps if they so wish. There are a couple reasons why I am
deciding to divulge some of my inner secrets about my personal life. I want
this blog to help others lose weight, feel good about themselves, and live a
healthier lifestyle. I literally have become quite obsessed with following the
Slow Carb Diet as closely as possible – it has become a fairly large part of my
life in the past couple weeks.
The photo above was from my vacation to Panama City Beach back in August 2012. I miss the beach like nobody's business! Professional pictures are in the works but this will have to suffice for now.
Let me start by first sharing some background information
about my personal story and height/weight dimensions. I am a 26-year-old male,
5’11”, and when I started the Slow Carb Diet (SCD), I weighed 183.4 pounds. I
came across this diet purely by accident. I basically typed in “How To Lose
Weight Without Exercising” into a Google search bar. After clicking on about
four or five websites, I knew I had found exactly what I was looking for. All I
had to do was follow 4 easy rules?! Sign me up. I wanted to try this diet because, lets face it, I hate working out. Okay, I really don't mind working hard but I hate sweating more than anything.
There is something about being drenched in your own self-produced fluid secreting from glands and pores that to me, is an unbelievably disgusting human
capability.
Before anything, let me include the link for the Slow Carb
Diet. http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2007/04/06/how-to-lose-20-lbs-of-fat-in-30-days-without-doing-any-exercise/ It was written by Tim Ferriss. The blog has a basic gist of the four
rules, but Tim’s book: The 4-Hour Body covers more specific information
and details on how to be successful. A couple weeks ago, I spent an afternoon
at Barnes and Noble, tracked down the book, and read the full chapter called
“Subtracting Fat.” The Slow Carb diet was covered in about 30 pages of content
but quite honestly, it does not include any substantial information different
from the “Lose 20 lbs of Fat in 30 Days” blog posting.
My next posting will cover the four rules in regards to what I specifically do for the Slow Carb Diet.
